Have a Seat and Let’s Play

As an Interior Design student at LUCA School of Arts, I explore the societal impact design can have in an increasingly globalising world. My work is informed by research into recycled materials, sustainability and sociology, and is driven by a fascination with people and the ways they connect with one another. While grounded in research, my designs often carry a sense of playfulness, which is a reflection of my personality and my belief that spaces can invite curiosity, joy and interaction.

I am particularly interested in how relationships are formed and maintained, and in the emotions that shape our interactions. These themes play a central role in my practice and are reflected in my ambition as a designer to create spaces that bring people together.

Alongside my design work, my independent practice serves as a reflection of my inner world. Through it, I navigate and give form to the complex and often overwhelming emotions that ascend from my inner world.

Reading Lamp

This lamp is made with steel tubes and textile.
Its idea is that the lamp can easily be taken apart and reassembled when needed. The textile gives the light a very warm en cosy glow. An important aspect of my design, is that the cord of the lamp is covered in textile, so it fits in the entire image. It’s a simple, yet elegant design that fits in many interiors.
